The Alkem Lab's aim, to be the leaders in pharmaceuticals while reaching out quality Health food to Indian as well international markets would attain its goal as we continue to focus our attention on R&D while creating a strong manufacturing base in India. At present, we have 7 in-house world-class manufacturing facilities with international regulatory approvals including those from: US - FDA UK - MHRA MCC - South Africa TGA - Australia WHO Manufacturing Capacities at a glance: Tablets - 6000 million units Capsules - 800 million units Injectables - 500 million units Liquids - 50 million units Dry Syrup - 60 million units IV Infusion - 30 million units (The above figures are capacities per annum on single shift basis).

DAMAN & TALOJA
Alkem Lab's Taloja plant is our first manufacturing facility situated in Navi Mumbai. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Daman handle the bulk of the production.

AMALIYA
Our Amaliya manufacturing facility comprises of two production blocks (General & Cephalosporin and Penicillin Block), warehouse, quality assurance cum administrative block, utilities block and an effluent treatment plant. These production blocks are designed to meet domestic and export production requirements.

The General Block has a production area of 4620 sq. mtrs. and houses the HVAC systems. The Cephalosporin Block has a production area of 1755 sq. mtrs. and also houses the HVAC systems. The warehousing facility has an area available measuring 3786 sq. mtrs. The Penicillin facility comprises one independent production block (for ÃY-Lactams) with warehousing, quality assurance, administrative office and separate utilities block. This plant is designed to meet the domestic and export production requirements and has a production area of 4068 sq. mtrs. and also houses the HVAC systems, water system, etc. The tablet and injection department of this plant is a modular clean room and is designed as one of the best and most modern manufacturing facilities in the country. The warehousing space in this facility measures 932 sq. mtrs.

KACHIGAM
The Kachigam unit is a four storied structure with an available area of 2275 sq.mtrs. and 2450 sq. mtrs. for the ground and the second floor respectively with the first and the fourth floors mainly housing the HVAC systems. The warehousing facility has an available area of 875 sq. mtrs. This GMP unit is designed for production of injections, tablets, capsules and dry syrups for domestic and export markets.

The major equipments installed in this unit are three high-speed dry powder injection and two high-speed dry syrup filling units and packing lines as well as tablet and hard gelatin capsule production and packing lines. The unit has an independent and well-equipped quality assurance department.

BADDI
Alkem Lab's new plant at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, commissioned in 2005, sits in a clean, green and scenic surrounding. The production at Baddi caters to both domestic and international business. The plant has been designed for Cephalosporins and general category products. Dosage forms like tablets, capsules, dry powder, injectables and oral suspensions are manufactured in this facility.

Salient features of the plant are:
- It is a cluster of isolated blocks
- Built-up area of 2,20,000 sq. ft.
- Cephalosporins Block - 70,000 sq. ft.
- General Block - 1,00,000 sq. ft.
- QA / QC - 10,000 sq. ft.
- Plants have been designed with linear flow of manpower and the materials
- Dedicated manpower for the different blocks and entry to blocks through access control
- Well equipped workshop for regular plant maintenance
- Dedicated water re-circulation loops in all the 3 blocks

SIKKIM
This manufacturing facility at Sikkim was built in the year 2007 and is located at Kumrek, Central Pendam, Rangpo, East Sikkim. The Sikkim plant has two separate and distinct manufacturing blocks; General Block (G Block) equipped for formulation of Non-Penicillin / Non-Cephalosporin products and the Cephalosporin Block (C Block) equipped for formulation of dry powder injectables and tablets. The production at Sikkim caters to the domestic business.
