Alkem Lab's Health food is the pioneer in offering sugar-free and low-calorie sweetener based products. Alkem Lab's Health food is the first to launch Sucralose based liquid sweetener in India, which can substitute sugar in all culinary applications.

Alkem Lab's currently manufactures 2 sugar substitutes, Sucralose - a zero calorie sweetener and Fructo Oligosaccharide (FOS) - a natural sweetener with prebiotic properties. FOS is also approved as a soluble fibre which helps lowering LDL Cholesterol levels to support good cardiovascular health apart from boosting immunity levels. Both, Sucralose and FOS are heat stable and can replace sugar in all culinary applications like bakery; confectionery; fruit & vegetable products - juices, jams, sauces, ketchups, syrups, jellies etc.; ready to eat foods in retort packs; pasteurized foods; dairy products, etc.

For Sucralose, Alkem Lab's has developed a cost effective, environment friendly, patent non-infringing process which conforms to USP-NF specifications and certified by CFTRI & BAJAJ centre.
